Let customers sign in or register with their Google account in one click; new accounts are created automatically with a unique username.
What it is
Sign in with Google removes the password step for customers who prefer it, and makes registration a single click.
How it works
- Enter your Google client ID and switch the option on; a Google button appears on the login and sign-up cards.
- Google confirms the identity, and the panel checks that the sign-in was issued for your site and that the email is verified by Google.
- An existing account with that email is signed in; otherwise a new account is created with a unique username, its own API key and referral code, and the welcome email is sent.
- Google sign-up can be switched off separately so only existing customers can use the button.
- Blocked devices and suspended accounts are refused on this path too.
