Switch off Duplicate Allowed on a service and a customer cannot order the same link again while an earlier order for it is still running.
What it is
Duplicate control stops accidental double orders and abuse of free or cheap services, without you having to police links by hand.
How it works
- Each service has a Duplicate Allowed switch in the Advance popup; it is on by default.
- When it is off, a new order is refused if the same customer already has an order for the same link on the same service that is pending, processing or in progress.
- The customer sees a message asking them to wait until the running order completes.
- Once the earlier order is completed, canceled or refunded, the link can be ordered again.
- Simultaneous submissions from the same account are serialised so the check cannot be raced.
